The Minnesota Zoo – Heart of the Zoo renovation project was the first of three planned phases designed to improve upon the zoo’s education programs, create new exhibits for the animals, and enhance the overall guest experience for visitors. The education area was expanded, the existing bird theatre was converted into an African Penquin exhibit, and the existing whale tank became the new bird theatre.
