Radisson Plaza Hotel Gets an Upgrade

The Radisson Plaza Hotel in Downtown Minneapolis underwent a major renovation. The project scope included renovating all areas of the operational hotel including guest rooms and suites, ballrooms, boardrooms, lobby, and administrative offices. A restaurant addition was also added to the hotel. FireLake Restaurant and Cocktail Bar now sits adjacent to the hotel lobby providing on-site dining for hotel guests and visitors. OlympiaTech’s scope included design assist of electrical systems, electrical installation, coordination and integration of a new fire alarm system while maintaining security and site access as defined in the regulatory and special project procedures. A per floor, critical path method was employed to accommodate active hotel operations and to minimize disruption during the short, six-month renovation process.
