A New High-Tech Headquarters for Star Exhibits

A new 200,000 SF office, warehouse, and manufacturing facility was built for Star Exhibits, a tradeshow and retail design company. The design-build electrical contractor worked closely with Star Exhibits to understand its goals, requirements, areas of opportunity, and future capacity needs, to design a tailored facility-solution for the company. The goal of the project was to create an integrated work environment that encouraged collaboration between the office, production, and warehouse teams.

Upon entering, you’re welcomed by a sleek reception desk back-lit with color-changing LEDs and a custom light fixture illuminating the company logo on the wall behind. The heart of the facility houses office and collaboration space with 40’ exposed ceilings, wooden clouds, slim-line LEDs, color-changing LED wall washer, dimming LEDs, and down-light LEDs to meet area-specific lighting needs. Lighting control panels are interconnected for optimum control.

In addition to storage space, the warehouse doubles as a simulated convention hall allowing for setup and power-testing of exhibits and displays. The vast warehouse utilizes 2×4 high-bays controlled by a lighting control panel and individual integrated occupancy sensors allowing for maximum lighting control.

The 50,000 SF production area has a full suite of power equipment, a high-tech chemical storage room, and dust-collection system. The production lighting is controlled by a lighting control panel and utilizes T5HO 2×4 high-bays with levels averaging at 62 FC and peaking out at 92 FC, providing overly-flexible lighting levels.

Star Exhibits’ new facility seamlessly integrates office, production, and warehouse space creating a highly-collaborative work environment for employees, clients, and guests.
