Washburn Center for Children’s New Home in Minneapolis
Washburn Center for Children, the state’s leading children’s mental health center, built a new facility. The 76,000 SF, 3-story building sits on a 2.5 acre reclaimed urban site in Minneapolis. The new facility is double the size of Washburn’s previous facility, allowing the center to better serve children in the community who have mental health needs. The new center is a vital community resource that creates a space for young minds to heal and grow. The facility includes a training center, conference rooms, classrooms, private office/therapy rooms, underground parking and an outdoor playground. Designed to LEED Gold standards, the building’s systems were designed for operational efficiency and indoor air quality.
